Estate Planning

Estate planning is a lifelong process in which you order the worldly possessions given you by God to carry out and fulfill your stewardship.

It typically involves the preparation and revision of trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, living wills, and other legal and business documents.

It considers the tax and legal aspects of ordering and transferring assets, businesses and other property.

It may mean providing for serious illness or death or for the care and comfort of spouse and family during difficult times.

It considers the tax and legal aspects of ordering and transferring assets, businesses and other property.

It may involve the preparation and probate of wills and the administration of estates.

It may involve premarital planning and planning after death to reduce estate and other taxes and to provide for the orderly transfer of property.

It may involve the ordering of property and assets as we make major transitions in life.  These include sustaining independent living and, when necessary, the transition to assisted living.  It may also include nursing home care.  Qualification for Medicaid and assuring financial security are special issues.
